Sustainability
Antique and vintage goods are both stylish and sustainable.

They have a low carbon footprint thanks to their existing lifespan and they help reduce deforestation because no trees are being cut to produce them.

They help reduce landfill because, unlike mass-produced non-recyclables, they are high quality in material and craft, and are destined to outlive most other possessions.

Everything we buy interacts with the environment. Second hand furniture and accessories are not only unique, characterful and nostalgic, but also contribute to a sustainable home.

Thank you for submitting your enquiry. A member of our sales team will get back to you as soon as possible

Designer Spotlight | Grete Jalk

Grete Jalk was a Danish modernist designer born 1920 in Copenhagen. She trained as a cabinet maker at Copenhagen’s Design School for Women and finished her studies at the Danish Royal Academy under Kaare Klint. In 1946 Jalk won the annual Cabinetmakers Guild Competition and went on to open her own studio a few years later where she developed designs for France & Son, Poul Jeppesen and Fritz Hansen.

Jalk would push the boundaries of new materials with processes of experimentation which led to revolutionary designs such as the Bow Chair, a chair that sits somewhere between sculpture and furniture. Made in moulded plywood with teak veneer the chair flows with organic shapes and yet is strong with origami-esque folded construction.
