Sustainability
Antique and vintage goods are both stylish and sustainable.

They have a low carbon footprint thanks to their existing lifespan and they help reduce deforestation because no trees are being cut to produce them.

They help reduce landfill because, unlike mass-produced non-recyclables, they are high quality in material and craft, and are destined to outlive most other possessions.

Everything we buy interacts with the environment. Second hand furniture and accessories are not only unique, characterful and nostalgic, but also contribute to a sustainable home.

Thank you for submitting your enquiry. A member of our sales team will get back to you as soon as possible

Designer Spotlight | Yngve Ekström

Yngve Ekström was a designer born in the heart of Sweden's furniture district, Hagafors, in 1913. At the age of 13 he worked at a sawmill and later at a furniture factory. Ekström went on to study drawing, sculpture, painting, music and art history alongside work and started developing his own furniture designs. In 1945, alongside his brother, the Ekströms founded their own furniture company, ESE-Mobler now known as Swedese.

The Lamino Chair was designed in 1956 by Yngve which became his most famous piece, it features a high back that is shaped to fit and support the human form comfortably, with exposed wooden armrests and upholstered seat and back.
