Sustainability
Antique and vintage goods are both stylish and sustainable.

They have a low carbon footprint thanks to their existing lifespan and they help reduce deforestation because no trees are being cut to produce them.

They help reduce landfill because, unlike mass-produced non-recyclables, they are high quality in material and craft, and are destined to outlive most other possessions.

Everything we buy interacts with the environment. Second hand furniture and accessories are not only unique, characterful and nostalgic, but also contribute to a sustainable home.

Thank you for submitting your enquiry. A member of our sales team will get back to you as soon as possible

The Old Cinema

Style Spotlight | Arts & Crafts

The arts and crafts movement was born in the late 19th century to counterbalance other overly ornate furniture styles often lessening in quality through factory production. In critique of the industrial revolution the heart of arts and crafts was traditional craftsmanship with simplified decorative designs as well as folk and nature influences resulting in high quality furniture with a romantic feel.

Influential figures include Augustus Pugin, John Ruskin, William Morris and Charles Rennie Mackintosh. The movement set out to create both decorative and functional items, such as furniture, homeware and art, for the home that were created by a single craftsman from start to finish eliminating the repetitive tasks of a sectional production system often associated with mass production.
