Sustainability
Antique and vintage goods are both stylish and sustainable.

They have a low carbon footprint thanks to their existing lifespan and they help reduce deforestation because no trees are being cut to produce them.

They help reduce landfill because, unlike mass-produced non-recyclables, they are high quality in material and craft, and are destined to outlive most other possessions.

Everything we buy interacts with the environment. Second hand furniture and accessories are not only unique, characterful and nostalgic, but also contribute to a sustainable home.

Thank you for submitting your enquiry. A member of our sales team will get back to you as soon as possible

Designer Spotlight | Osvaldo Borsani

Osvaldo Borsani was born in Italy in 1911. He began working for his family's furniture making business, Atelier di Varedo, at the age of 16. It was here that Borsani learnt from craftsmen with different skill sets observing how they collaborate with each other. He later studied at the Beaux-Arts at Accademia di Brera in Milan and went on to study architecture at the Polytechnic of Milan where he developed a keen interest in new technologies, innovations and the avant garde. After graduating Borsani took over his fathers workshop and began collaborating with contemporary artists to create boundary pushing designs with an avant guard flare balanced with his rationalist eye. In 1953, alongside his twin brother Fulgenzio, the Bosanis founded Tecno, a pioneering furniture company that produced Osvaldo's designs including the D70 sofa and P40 Chair. The company went on to produce furniture by other designers such as Robin Day and Gio Ponti. Original Tecno designs are on display at the V&A, MoMA and the Pompidou centre.

Borsani’s modernist designs include understated minimal forms such as the atomic coat rack and the P40 chair as well as opulent and grand pieces with decorative elements that give a glamorous feel.
