Sustainability
Antique and vintage goods are both stylish and sustainable.

They have a low carbon footprint thanks to their existing lifespan and they help reduce deforestation because no trees are being cut to produce them.

They help reduce landfill because, unlike mass-produced non-recyclables, they are high quality in material and craft, and are destined to outlive most other possessions.

Everything we buy interacts with the environment. Second hand furniture and accessories are not only unique, characterful and nostalgic, but also contribute to a sustainable home.

Thank you for submitting your enquiry. A member of our sales team will get back to you as soon as possible

Designer Spotlight | Johannes Andersen

Johannes Andersen was a Danish midcentury furniture designer, born in Aarhus 1903. He designed and produced practical, space conserving/conscious, furniture made with grace and function. Typically his designs are crafted in luxury woods such as teak, mahogany and rosewood.

Like many Danish furniture designers Andersens career began with a cabinet maker's apprenticeship. He later went on to design furniture for CFC Silkeborg, Bramin and Trensum until he established his own workshop developing his own style - functional human centred design. Andersen was heavily inspired by nature and made furniture in organic shapes with flowing lines - often avoiding square and rectangle tops.
