Sustainability
Antique and vintage goods are both stylish and sustainable.

They have a low carbon footprint thanks to their existing lifespan and they help reduce deforestation because no trees are being cut to produce them.

They help reduce landfill because, unlike mass-produced non-recyclables, they are high quality in material and craft, and are destined to outlive most other possessions.

Everything we buy interacts with the environment. Second hand furniture and accessories are not only unique, characterful and nostalgic, but also contribute to a sustainable home.

Thank you for submitting your enquiry. A member of our sales team will get back to you as soon as possible

Designer Spotlight | Illum Wikkelsø

Kristian Illum Wikkelsø was a Danish furniture designer born in 1919. Like many of his peers, Wikkelsø specialised in modern Scandinavian design and aimed to create furniture that not only looked good but was also functional, comfortable to use and built to last. He had a keen knowledge of craftsmanship and materials, the combination of which resulted in innovative designs produced with high quality manufacturing which drew inspiration from natural and organic forms. Wikkelsø trained as a cabinetmaker and went on to study at the Copenhagen School of Arts & Crafts and the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts’ School of Furniture Design under Kaare Klint going on to start his own design firm in 1954.
